shouldn’t have kept anybody away from The Greystones last night, and those who were there to enjoy an evening with Rachel Harrington certainly picked a winner. Big thanks to Rachel, Richard Kitson for an ever entertaining opening set, and everybody that joined us.

Next up for WagonWheel Presents… we’re at Shakespeares this coming Sunday July 21st for our annual Sunday Social. As usual we’ve got two stages of free live music, this year featuring sets from Stoney, Joe Solo, The Barker Ranch Highwaymen, Mat Wale, The Holding Hands, Paul Handyside, The Swells, Andy Whitehouse, The December Flowers, Georgina Gilmartin, The Farewell State and Buffalo Ghost. We’ll be kicking off at 2pm sharp in the Stable Yard, for the complete list of set times take a look at the full preview here. We hope to see you then.

but it came out ok, better than some people’s t-shirts have from the washing machine. A glorious night with Massy Ferguson and the returning Dave Woodcock & The Dead Comedians. Big thanks to both of them and all of you who came along to The Greystones.

It’s a quick turnaround as WagonWheel Presents… returns to The Backroom this coming Sunday July 14th for our second visitor from Seattle of the week. is we enjoyed a fabulous evening at The Greystones last night in the company of Neil McSweeney and Stoney. Big thanks to both of them (one of whom may have to learn to run a little faster), and everybody that filled the room and joined us.

WagonWheel Presents… will be back in The Backroom on Wednesday July 10th for the visit of Seattle’s Massy Ferguson when they tour the UK in the support of brand new album Great Divides. Not only that but after two years away, Dave Woodcock & The Dead Comedians return to open the show. It’ll be all the bar room rock ‘n’ roll you can cram in to one night, full details can be found here, be sure to grab you ticket.

you suffer the consequences, but Curtis Eller valiantly battled through “the lurgy” to deliver another sparking show with The American Circus last night. Big thanks to Curtis & co., Paul McClure for a fine opening set, and everybody that joined us to fill The Greystones.

We’ll be in The Backroom again on Thursday June 27th for an evening with Neil McSweeney, you can find full details here. But before then we return to Shakespeares for our next show on Friday June 21st. WagonWheel Presents… welcomes Jody Davies, Daniel Kemish, E.R. Thorpe and B.W. and no shows meant last night’s belated start to 2019 was eagerly awaited, fortunately we had Angel Snow (and guitarist Joe Wilkins) on hand to deliver a spectacular set at The Greystones which more than made it worth the wait. Big thanks to them and Gemma Gray for the fine support, plus everybody who joined us.

We haven’t got quite so long to wait until the next one, WagonWheel Presents… returns to The Backroom on Monday April 8th when we’re welcome once again the Good Lovelies. Almost four years since their last Sheffield show, they’ll be in the UK with a full band for the first time and touring with them will be fellow Canadian artists Fortunate Ones (with whom there’ll be a few collaborations on the night too).
