old friends, and a little bit of magic in the air made for one of those shows that truly was a special one at The Greystones last night. But we don’t need to tell those of you who were there that right? Massive thanks to Josh Harty, The Fargo Railroad Co., special guest Mark Lyall and everyone who joined us, it wasn’t one anybody will forget in a hurry.

WagonWheel Presents… will be back in action on Friday June 7th when Curtis Eller’s American Circus comes to town. Paul McClure opens the show, full details of which you can find here. Be sure to secure your place under the Big Top.

and no shows meant last night’s belated start to 2019 was eagerly awaited, fortunately we had Angel Snow (and guitarist Joe Wilkins) on hand to deliver a spectacular set at The Greystones which more than made it worth the wait. Big thanks to them and Gemma Gray for the fine support, plus everybody who joined us.

We haven’t got quite so long to wait until the next one, WagonWheel Presents… returns to The Backroom on Monday April 8th when we’re welcome once again the Good Lovelies. Almost four years since their last Sheffield show, they’ll be in the UK with a full band for the first time and touring with them will be fellow Canadian artists Fortunate Ones (with whom there’ll be a few collaborations on the night too). You can find the full preview for this show here, tickets are on sale here, or take a look at the Coming Soon… page for a taster of what’s ahead.

We hope you can join us too.

another year gone already? 2018 saw a modest total of 15 WagonWheel Presents… shows (though we did lose 2 to Snowmageddon that wiped out the Sunday of our Weekender), with a total of 37 different acts, 11 of whom were brand new faces to our little stage(s). That’s still not bad going i reckon. Among those 15 was our 300th show, we’re almost starting to get the hang of it.

We’ll be back for more in 2019, and we’ve got a few belters lined up already. Confirmed shows for next year are:

Angel Snow @ The Greystones, Tuesday March 5th

Good Lovelies @ The Greystones, Monday April 8th

Josh Harty + The Fargo Railroad Co. @ The Greystones, Tuesday April 16th

Curtis Eller’s American Circus + Paul McClure @ The Greystones, Friday June 7th

Rachel Harrington @ The Greystones, Sunday July 14th

Full details for all of the above including ticket links can be found over on the Gigs page.

Big thanks as always to everybody that’s joined us this year and been a part of what we do. Here’s hoping Santa is kind with the tunes he brings you all, and all the best for 2019 and beyond.

the best things come in small packages, and that once again proved to be the case last night with a sold out micro gig in the cosy confines of Hop Hideout with Andy P. Davison and Jody Davies, both ably assisted by double double bass man Andy Dye. Big thanks to them and all of you who joined us for the (mostly) unplugged show.

Next WagonWheel Presents… is back at The Greystones this coming Tuesday with Otis Gibbs plus support from Paul McClure. You can read the full preview for this show here. We hope you can join us then.
