So today marks 8 years since the very first WagonWheel show. On 30th October 2006 at The Grapes we did this:

There have been a few more dodgy flyers since show #1, and few hopefully not so. We’ve just posted some of them here on our Facebook page.

Those 8 years have seen 219 shows (the full list can be found by clicking here) at 6 different venues, and we start year 9 this Saturday with The Fargo Railroad Co., The Farewell State and Mordrake at Shakespeares. More details for this one can be found on the Gigs page.

Thanks to all who’ve joined us at either side of the mic so far.

A song a day…

a highly unoriginal title, for a highly unoriginal idea, but after almost 7 years and 200 shows with over 200 different artists, there’s probably enough material to keep this new page running for a good while at least.

So over the coming months we’ll be posting songs from some of the good folk heading to a WagonWheel Presents… show in the near future, or looking back at some of those who’ve graced the WagonWheel stage in the past, to give you a taste of what we do, what you might have missed, and what’s to come.

The logical place to start would have been the beginning, so instead today’s offering covers our next gig, and you can find it here: https://wagonwheelmedia.wordpress.com/a-song-a-day/

More tomorrow…
